MHADA Lottery 2015 to be Launched in June with 4468 Flats



Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is all set to announce its 2015 housing lottery in June 2015 with 4468 flats at different locations in Mumbai and Virar. About 17% of the total flats would be available in different areas in Mumbai and rest will be in Virar


State minister for Housing Ravindra Waikar announced on Wednesday that about 785 houses will be available in Mumbai. Of this 182 homes would be in Goregaon for those from the economically weaker sections while 66 homes in Mankhurd and 232 homes in Malvani will be for the low-income group (LIG) segments.

About 249 houses would be released in Gavanpada in Mulund while merely 56 homes would be available the Sion Pratiksha Nagar complex, both for the middle-income group segment. The remaining 3,683 LIG and MIG apartments would be in MHADA’s Bolinj project in Virar

As per the MHADA’s housing policy, the homes will be sold through lottery in 2015 while the possession will be given once the construction is completed in 2016. As a part of its housing offering, MHADA is constructing at least 9,210 affordable flats in Manpada, Kavesar, Virar (Boilng) and Mira Road in Thane district.
